Hey Everybody,
Just in case anyone out there is looking for an apartment, I want to let you know about where I live: Williamsburg Apartments. It's located at the corner of Clairmont and North Druid Hills, just up the street from Emory and just down the street from I-85. We're located just across the street from Toco Hills, and a few miles north of downtown Decatur. There are parks nearby, with tennis courts, dog/walking trials galore, and lots of open green space.
Renee and I have lived here since August and we just renewed our lease. We have over 1,100 square feet, a patio, 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. For the squarefootage, the price is hard to beat anywhere in Decatur -- I haven't seen less expensive yet.
The community had been a mostly seniors retirement community. However, there was a recent semi-exodus of seniors and williamsburg changed to an all-ages community. Many of the units are being 'refreshed' with new carpet and paint (ours got carpet and paint once we moved in, and several in our area are receiving the same.)
Why am I being so evangelical about my complex? Well, in the interest of full-disclosure, there is a referral incentive program going on that's pretty sweet. And since we've had no major problems, I wanted to share this information with cyberspace. Check out the floor plans here:
